NO WASTE! Waste prevention

Photofabrics works closely with its partners to produce as little waste as possible and have as little impact on the environment as possible.

We do this in different ways:

• By printing on demand and creating an order schedule in advance, we minimize waste.
• We use raw materials as sparingly as possible and minimize the failure rate.

Energy and water savings are of paramount importance. The roof of our factory is equipped with solar panels, and we also reuse rinse water from the production process. Throughout production, we use only energy-efficient light bulbs.

• Carpet waste is easy to recycle. Certain types of nylon can be fully recycled and are technically processed into new nylon. Wool carpets can be perfectly processed as natural insulation material. Carpet waste that is currently unsuitable for recycling is incinerated. This incineration recovers energy, as carpets have a higher energy value than petroleum.

• We are constantly striving to use less packaging material and, where possible, to reuse it. Cardboard cores around which the carpet is wrapped are reused as much as possible. Agreements are made with raw material suppliers to use reusable packaging wherever possible.

• We try to utilize our logisitk as efficiently as possible and avoid unnecessary travel.

• Our carpet adhesives are free of organic solvents.

• The carpet industry is aware of the importance of environmental protection and is constantly working on it.
